ENTER #11 -- 20 dec 2004

Shout it from the rooftops, ya'll. EXIT is back.

Well, it's not like we ever really went anywhere, but we were missing a crucial piece of the puzzle and we are thrilled to announce that the search is finally over. That's right, we have found our singer. Her name is Trevi and the amount of ass she kicks is truly staggering. But before we get to that, allow us to take a moment to recognize everyone who has hung in there with us this year. Your support and well wishes and encouraging words have brought us a long way. So massive thanks to each and every one of you.

Over the past ten months, we auditioned nearly 50 different singers. We met a few "almosts" and "maybes" along the way, but no one was quite right until Trevi walked into our lives. Here's a little bit about our new singer, in her own words:

Hi, my name is Trevi and I sing.

. . .

You were looking for something a bit more in-depth? Well, okay then. ;) I was born in the sprawling metropolis of Des Moines, IA, and lived there until I was 18. I started singing when I was 11 or something like that. In High School I started singing a lot more. I started taking voice lessons and entered some competitions where I did well. When it came time to graduate I had no idea what I wanted to do, so I auditioned for some vocal scholarships. After I received some offers, I chose the University of Kansas.

I moved to beautiful, glorious, Lawrence, KS and received my Bachelors of Music degree in Vocal Performance. I mostly sang classical music and jazz. By the end of my 4 years at KU, I was really burned out on classical singing. After college I moved to Kansas City, KS and started a cover band with my friends Chris and Dave. We were together for 2 1/2 years before I decided that I wanted to try and sing in a band that only did original music. That and the fact that they kept making me play the damn tambourine, inspired me to get the hell out of Dodge. I started talking about moving to California with some girls that I worked with. 5 months later, the four of us had packed up our crap and headed west. We slept on the floor of a couple friends' houses for 2 weeks before finding a place to live.

I've been looking for a band for the last several months. I auditioned for EXIT and Susan told me she wanted to have my babies. That freaked me out. It's all good now though...and life with EXIT rocks!

We are thrilled to be kicking the new year off by playing our first gig with Trevi. Come celebrate our new beginning and help welcome her to the band. We're opening for The Joshua Tree again, one of the best U2 tribute bands around. Seriously, people. We love The Joshua Tree. You won't want to miss this party!

And this is just the start. We plan on launching an all-new website in 2005. Mad props to our webmeister Thad for establishing and continuing our online presence for the last two years. He'll be handing the reins over to Cheryl, the not-so-new girl in town, and we'll be sure to let you know when the new site goes live.

So look out people, because here comes 2005, and we are ramping up. This? Is IT. We're set to take over the world. It's like, EXIT: A NEW BEGINNING

or maybe:

EXIT v. 2.0

or what about:

EXIT: THE NEXT GENERATION

or even:

THE NEXIT GENERATION?

Well, whatever you want to call it...it's on. 2005? Bring it. We're ready for the push.
