ENTER #9 -- 20 apr 2004

Typically, when you receive a new ENTER in your mailbox, you can expect the latest info straight outta EXIT-land. But this time around, it's your chance to help shape the future of EXIT.

As you know, several weeks ago we played our last gig with Nikki. It was a tremendous experience and we are grateful to everyone who gave us their support, whether it was through their attendance or email or positive energy. A few people have posted about it on the EXIT-US list on Yahoo, so check it out if you weren't able to make it. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EXIT-US/

And now, the part where we put the call out. Because there may very well be a demand for a kick-ass three-piece instrumental group. None immediately come to mind, so that means that surely there is a niche to be filled by that kind of entertainment. But that is not EXIT. We have a vision. And it does not include vocal-less prog-rock jams.

So this is where we do the band version of a personal ad.

We are - three LA native girls who play guitar, bass and drums and have been in this band for 4 years. We are ready to go to the next level and rehearse, perform, promote and record like hell 'til we get a record deal.

You are - a female singer/songwriter, age 21-25 who is:

Inspired by male vocalists such as Bono, Peter Gabriel and Thom Yorke and female vocalists such as Bjork and PJ Harvey.

Loves U2, Radiohead, Peter Gabriel, The Frames, The Beatles, Bjork, PJ Harvey, Damien Rice, The Police, Coldplay.

Music-obsessed and in turn needs to express herself and have an affect on others.

Has a strong voice, soul, drive, energy, charisma, a sense of humour, and who is inspired, inspirational and committed.

Who loves to travel (especially to Ireland), wants a lifelong career in music, wants to record and tour, and is willing to be exposed, be a frontman and be our friend.

Does this sound like you? If so, drop a line to Affa at affa@exit-band.com.

Does this sound like someone you know? If so, please forward this to them and help us get the word out.

And again, thanks to you all for your continued support. It means so much to us.

Until next time...
